
Overview
Artnoise Open Residency is a program designed for Creatives who work in the digital space interested in exploring Afro inspired arts and audiences. These are creatives who want to take steps in their career and artistic development. This program made of six stays in Accra, London, Marrakesh, Lome, Capetown and Toronto.
The program provides support and opportunities for digital creatives such as digital illustrators and painters, video game artists, Youtube content creators and other digital arts professionals to create, research, experiment, cultivate new directions in their work as well as execute new projects.
In addition to a shared studio space and living facilities, artists are invited to immerse themselves in the local creative community, art exhibitions and festivals, visit galleries and have the opportunity to learn from their peers in the hosting city.

What does the program offer?
Artnoise Open 2020 Residency offers the opportunity for Digital Creatives to immerse themselves in a new culture and be inspired by Contemporary African Arts and have a glimpse into the Diasporan African Arts Community. Participants are provided with living space, a studio, accessible 24 hours a day and a local escort. Participants will be expected to exhibit their work in local exhibitions or festival before they depart. Knowledgeable staff are available to provide technical support and assistance.*
Who should apply?
This program is aimed at Game Arts, Digital painters, Cyberartists, Photographers, Game Artists, Immersion (virtual reality), Motion graphics artists, Tradigital art and other digital arts professionals who are interested in drawing inspiration from African arts and cultures whether they speak English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese or German.
What’s Included
Shared Room: The program includes a shared bedroom in the hosting city for the duration of your program. |
Regular Meal Plan: Using a meal ticket system to dine on at a local canteen, our flexible meal plans allow you to select meals according to your own needs during your stay. |
Funding: Participants of the program can request funding and support for their projects as needed. |
Studio Time: Every member of the program is allowed full access to an in-house studio |
Showcase your work: This program offers opportunities to showcase your work in the final exhibitions |
Participant Resources: Enrich your experience and get to know other artists in the community by taking advantage of the activities and support provided by our Participant Resources team. |
Technical Support: Support for production, technical assistance and communication assistance |
Other Resources: Studio visits and Professional networking with the Art community |
How to Apply
Individual applications: Kindly fill the application form and make the refundable Application fee and Registration payments.
Group applications: The group leader must complete a single application form, make application payments and registration and upload supporting material.
Pay Application fee *for group applications, the group leader should complete the application payment and contact us at hello@artnoiseng.com or artnoiseng@gmail.com for the private payment page for its additional members.
Fees & Financial Assistance
The Program Application fee is a refundable $200 booking fee, (which is refunded on arrival and check-in) for Individuals and $50 per additional member for groups.
Live-in (including board & meals) fee for stays which is to be paid on arrival and check-in.
For Financial Assistance, simply update the financial assistance part of the application and you will be matched with available aid.

Travel
All applicants who register for the program must cover their own travel and flight tickets.

CSR
Participants have the opportunity to engage in community development and CSR projects with Artnoise.
Note: All programs, faculty, dates, fees, and offers of financial assistance are subject to change. All fees are refunded at the discretion of Artnoise Open Residency.
